Most people can picture the iconic 1960's Aston Martin DB5 & DB6
that Sir Sean Connery drove as James Bond in films. Few actually know that
the DB stands for David Brown, owner and creator of the premier British sport car
of it’s time and beyond.
Yesterday I noticed another David Brown creation next door
to us here in the Philippines.
Yes, it is a 1970’s model and not technically an Aston
Martin, but this is where Sir Brown made his fortune and was able to purchase
Aston Martin along with a few other British automotive manufacturing firms.
I’ll have a martini. Thrashed, not stirred.
